Has anyone ever set up an automated data transfer process using an SFTP server using data in GP. I need to send PO's to an SFTP server and then they will be sending back the PO receipts. I have all the necessary scripts in place to export and import the data. The question now is how to automate this process.
For other times I have done this, the server has an FTP (sFTP) folder used for the drop. Other systems (for example, Birchstreet) are monitoring the FTP site and extracting data. There are also system commands for scheduling file manipulations and FTP tools to manage the process once it is a file. (In the past, my part of the projects was to get the data to the operating system. I have occasionally had need to dig deeper into FTP options, but that last occurred a few - if not several - years ago.) Once the processes are in place, they rarely fail.
Lisa, how do you get the SQL agent to copy to an SFTP server? Can you provide links that describe the setup?
Hi Richard-
Thank you for posting your question on the Forums. I am not aware of anyone requesting this on our side, but let's wait and see if there is anyone in the community who has tried to do this. Have a great weekend!

You can do it with SQL BCP commands and then scheduled with SQL Agent.
