Users Can't Upload excel file into AX

Users that earlier on had uploaded excel file into AX couldn't. System throws up different error like Window Communication Foundation not available.

Also, another error is "System.ServiceModelCommunicationObjectFaultedException.Detail"

Please any help.

All I want is for  users to be able to upload from excel into AX. Users have been able to do this in the past.

    Hi Fausat,

    What exact tool are you using for uploading Excel files? What have been changed? Are any updates applied on Windows, Office, Dynamics AX 2012?

    Hi,

    Please check the following link, it has suggestion to add a hotfix and secondly some changes need to be done on client configuration window. Give a try with the second option first and if that does not work go for the first option.

    Hi Andre

    Thanks for response. We use excel addin to upload into AX.  The user has error that says, WCF is not available also the error displays a server name the business no longer use. How do i change the configuration for the system to point to the server that is in use. We did  server patching. Not sure if this has affected the upload. Thanks

    Hi Fausat,

    Within the excel, In Dynamics AX tab Open the "Options" screen to change the server name  and other settings etc.,
