Hi experts,

I recently built a project that contains .dll file of a .NET Library file and I am now confused about how to deploy it to a production environment. I mean will the DLL file work in the production environment or do we have to do some additional steps for it?

I will be really thankful for your kind suggestions.

Hello,

You mentioned that you built the project which contains a .NET library file.

You do no need any additional step on Tier 2 and Production after deployment.

The information you provided isn't sufficient to answer your question.

If you mean a DLL not built by your project, you need to include it in the bin folder of your module, unless it's a file that F&O already contains. The same applies to other files that this file may depend on.

Hi Arif,

The dll will be part of the deployable package. That should take care of installing it on the production environment. If the file will be recognized correctly depends on if another version of the dll is already used by Dynamics 365.

Ensure you test it on a Tier-2 sandbox environment before moving it to production.
