Checks Printing - Highest Number to Lowest number.

Hello,

We have 2 accounts in Dynamics SL 2015.    When checks are printed from one account they are fine - they are in numeric order.  Say next check was 1027.    The First Check printed would be 1027, second 1028, 1029, 1030, etc.
In the second system the Check numbers are printed with the highest check first, so if there were 25 checks, and the first check was 1027.  The first check printed would be 1052, second 1051, 1050, 1049, down to 1027.

Where is this check numbering direction set?

@Marc_ - it has always been this way, although they haven't been using the second instance that long (maybe 18-24 months).

It seems Dynamics is defining the print order.  When we send it to an HP Injet printer it prints highest check first.   Brother Inkjet tank printer, manual tray, it print highest check first.  HP Lasert Jet, manual tray lowest check first.  They don't print enough checks to justify buying an HP Laserjet and they can use the one we tested on.

If we try and define the sort order by check number there is no change.

There has to be a setting somewhere in the system?

I don't think that's a 'feature' of SL.  Did someone recently alter a view or a stored procedure to sort results in a different way?  I wondering if someone made a SQL change that had unintended consequences.
