Lookup Issue: ItemId Not Populating in New Legal Entity

Hey there,

Encountering an unexpected snag with the ItemId lookup—it's performing well across all legal entities except for our latest addition. In this new legal entity, the lookup is failing to retrieve any data, despite all items being identical and released as products. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

i checked the data type for this ItemId and it come from ItemId that enxtended from ItemIdBase

Thanks
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Hisham,

ItemId EDT is linked to this "form help": InventItemIdLookupSimple
this form depends on a query called InventItemIdLookupSimpleView (which has InventTable and EcoResProduct inner joined in addition to other outer joins)
are u sure these tables are filled?

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

    Hi Hisham,

Did you try to run the query inside the view and see if it returns anything?

    Hi Hisham,

On what form do you need this lookup? Is it empty on all lookups (sales order, purchase order. etc? Is there an override of the lookup mehtod on the  table or form?

    Hi Andre,

I put it in Purchase agreement header table and there is no override for the lookup method

    thanks

    Hi Hisham,

So this field is added by you on the form and doesn't exist from before?
Did you put a relation with InventTable.ItemId on the table where you added this itemId?

I will edit the comment because i just read that u said it only happens on production. So this lookup is working fine on the purchase agreement in other legal entities? Can you reproduce it in your devBox?

You also mentioned there are no overrides on the  purchase agreement form. Is there any customizations on the lookup form itself?

And as Andre asked is the lookup for this itemId working in sales order form for this new legal entity for example?

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

    Hi Layan,

Thanks again, let me answer you on your inquiries.

So this field is added by you on the form and doesn't exist from before?

It is a customize field on Purchase agreement form.

Did you put a relation with InventTable.ItemId on the table where you added this itemId?

No, we should not do as the lookup is extended from datatype that already reference to InventTable

I will edit the comment because i just read that u said it only happens on production. So this lookup is working fine on the purchase agreement in other legal entities? Can you reproduce it in your devBox?

I see it works well in any old legal entity but it does not work with the new legal entity only and I think the main reason the new legal entity does not have any transactions yet like PO, SO, Production Order which are important to fill up some inventory tables in relation with inventtable  where I see the lookup work  and does not bring all items, and I think it brings only the items that have transactions, correct me if I am wrong. also the same issue on test environment.

You also mentioned there are no overrides on the  purchase agreement form. Is there any customizations on the lookup form itself?
    No

And as Andre asked is the lookup for this itemId working in sales order form for this new legal entity for example?
    Yes
