Custom Financial Report

ReportReport
Posted on by 105
Hello and Good Morning,

Is there a setup for an income statement that could display multiple lines with the same G/L number but different dimensions?  I have the budget entered like that, but there is nothing out of the box.  Does anyone have experience customizing or creating P&L with these features?

Dimensions would be Dept and Project with each column being the months of the account period

I have the same question (0)

you could use Financial reports feature and Analysis View feature in BC for this.

As appliwin123 mentioned financial reporting can do this. For example, if I go to the Financial Reporting Page, select and edit the rows for your income statement report:

In here I can create multiple rows for the same G/L Account. I can then add my 2 global dimensions as columns (personalize the page to add the fields), and for each row select a dimensions code:

If your Dept and Project dimensions are not part of your 2 global dimensions, but they are shortcut dimensions instead, then you will create to create an analysis view and add it to the financial report. Let me know if that's the case and I can show you how to do that as well.

Your column layout for the report would also have to contain your months as columns.

Just to add some information, the income statement you mentioned is actually the default Financial Report set in General Ledger Setup. You can find it and modify it according to the method mentioned by Valentin.

    Hope this helps as well.
    Thanks.
