User access to multiple companies

I'm in an DAX environment which houses multiple companies. What I've not been able to figure out is how to give a specific user access to more than 1 company. What I've tried is assigning multiple organizations to a user's roles, and I've also tried adding the user to other companies in the employment history form of the HR module. Where I'm expecting to see the multi-company access available is at the top of the client in the "breadcrumbs" but beyond seeing the modules I can not access the other companies. Thanks for your help!

Yes Ramk the System user role is assigned. I checked the privilege which grants the ability to change company and it was disabled. Looks like I found the culprit. Thanks for the lead Ramk!

Have you added OOB System user role...?  I believe that the user is not having the privilege to change the companies.  Simply add the System user role or add the privilege which provides the ability to change the company in breadcrumb

Thanks for the suggestion but I did try this method and it didn't work for me. I've checked the settings for this user over and over and can't seem to find the issue.

You can try to open the user options and than "Assign Organizations" to the selected user.

    1 - Go to System administration |Common |Users |Users.

2 - Select the required user from the user list.

3 - Click on the Assign organizations button at the centre of the form.

4 - Select Grant Access to specific organization individually.

5 - Set Select organization hierarchy to (All legal entities) to view all the companies available.

6 - Select the company you want the user to access and click on Grant to grant this user permission to access the selected company.
