Event will not save as template

Hi,

I have saved as template several times and nothing happens... I'm not redirected, no popup appears and no events populate in the templates section. I have also tried save as to make a copy.. same thing.

I don't have a blocked pop-up notification either?

Any Ideas?

Thanks for responses. I am Sys Admin, however a hard refresh has populated the template.

RE: Event will not save as template

    Hi,

The event template is also essentially an event record and is not recorded in a separate entity.

Just that the "Is template" field of the template is set as yes.

So this problem is obviously due to the security role of the currently logged in user not having enough privileges.

    1. Go to Advanced Settings > Settings > Security > Users to find out the user logged in. Tick the user in the list and click the MANAGE ROLES button to check the security role of this user.

    1. Go to Advanced Settings > Settings > Security > Security Role. Grant privileges for the role found in the previous step. It mainly includes privileges for the Event entity, Authentication Settings entity, EventMainBusinessProcessFlow and the entities they relate to.

    1. If you are not sure which entities you need privileges for, it is recommended to grant privileges of all entities starting with "msevtmgt_" to this role.

    1. Save the security role after modifying. And then the event can be saved as a copy or a template.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya
