Marketing Emails with Dynamic Content (Images)?

Hello - I have a question in regards to the capabilities of Dynamics 365 for Marketing.

Suppose that I was creating a Segment that incorporated different geographies. (i.e. Contact Address 1: City is Atlanta and Contact Address 1: City is Dallas). And I wanted to create a Marketing Email to be sent out to this Segment, but I wanted members of my Segment in Atlanta to receive an email with a specific Image of Atlanta and members of my Segment who are in Dallas, to receive a Marketing email with a specific image of Dallas, TX.

Is it possible to have 1 Segment that receives different content from a Marketing email? Or would I have to create separate Segments and separate Marketing Emails?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

    you have both options.

    1. You can create two segments, each for different geo and one email marketing message for each segment. You can still use only one Customer Journey which has two starting points for two parallel processing pipelines, one for each geo with its own message. This approach is the easiest if you want to design the messages with very much different content. And you could still create template first such that the customization work for each geo specific marketing message is very small task. If you need to translate even - this is clearly the recommended approach.

    2. If the email versions you desire to send to the regions are really nearly identical beside one field or a picture you might decide to go with one segment and one email marketing message. You can then use dynamic content to decide based on a field which image to show. You can upload images to the file management and get the specific image URLs on the CDN. Then you can use HandleBar script code and the dynamic content editor to control the conditions in order to define which image to show.
