Good morning/afternoon/evening all :)

I am trying to use the new expense mobile app.

I installed powerapps on my mobile - tick
I can access the Expense app
When I sign-in to the expense app I get this error /We couldn't find your active employment record. Please contact your system administrator..../
It continues into the app, but I cannot use any of the functions.

Notes

I can create a new expense report directly in D365FO
My user is linked to a current Employee record
I have tried clearing cache in the app
I have tried removing the Employee record from my D365FO user and re-adding.

Any help/thoughts?

Hi James,

Have you checked if your default company on the User options is the same as you try to register expenses?

I have the same issue.

My userid has a default company in my user options.

My userid is linked to an Employee in the Human Resources module. That employee is active in the same company that is by default.

I can create expenses/expense reports directly in D365FO.

I also have the same issue.

My userid has the role "Expense mobile Role" enabled in d365

My userid has the security role "Basic User" in Power Platform. We cannot find any Expense Mobile security in Power Platform to enable

Hi,

We also encountered this issue.

For one user (identical settings) - it seems to work, and for another user - it doesn't.

Did either of the posters use an IOS/Andorid? maybe this can be an angle?

I found your post while frustrated by the same issue. I realized that I had missed the step of enabling the feature preview in D365 that's labelled "Use expense mobile application for intuitive expense entry experience". Also make sure you're on Dynamics 365 Finance version 10.0.34 or higher to have this feature. Thought I'd throw this out there for anybody else stuck on this issue.

The issue was caused for us because Power platform and F&O where not configured correctly in LCS. We had to reestablish the link in LCS in order to fix the issue.

I got the same issue. I thought i had resolved it by enabling virtual entities: https://dynamicspost.com/virtual-entity-enable/. However the issue is with the "msdyn_legalEntity" that is not found when the user logs in. I set the field where ever possible still i get the issue. Any ideas?

We also got same issue. Sign in Ok, can see the menu but can't click on anything. Can create the expenses and reports in D365 but it's not working in the PowerApps Mobile Expense App. We also tried in both Android and Apple devices but same behaviour. We are on D365FO v10.0.36.

We have got the below issue as well even after having taken all the below steps to try and rectify the issue. Are there any other tips on how to resolve or how to roll back this installation and start from scratch again?
