Data field for multiple entities

Hello Community,

Is it possible to create an individual data field for multiple entities (Lead and Opprtunity) in MS Dynamics Sales Professional?

In the concrete case, I would like to transfer the lead categorization (e.g. partner, end customer, etc.) when converting from lead to opportunity, so that this field does not have to be filled in again.

What are the possibilities to do this?
