We are rolling out a global AX 2012 solution and are having issues trying to find the best practice for printer setup when using Terminal Servers.
We will have over 500 users accessing AX as a remote app spread across multiple terminal servers and have setup a printer server with the necessary drivers etc.
The issue we have is when users connect to AX and select print (invoice/quotes etc etc) they are presented only with the locally installed printers on the terminal server with no option to add further printers.
It has been suggested to us that we need to load ALL the print drivers needed onto each of the terminal servers to allow the AX client to see them, we currently have almost 200 printers setup in the system and having to install and manage them across 5-10 Terminal servers feels like a very inefficient way of handling the situation and kind of negates the need for a print server.
Has anyone else been in this situation? Would you be able to offer some advice or point me in the right direction on how to manage this?
