How to disable Quick Create on managed entities? (e.g. Playbook category)

For some inexplicable reason, a couple of managed entities that an end customer will never need to regularly quick create have been deployed with "Allow quick create" set to TRUE.

E.g.

1. Playbook Category

2. Property Option Set Item

Normally this would be okay, except these have been deployed in a Managed state and it is impossible to turn quick create off for these types by unchecking the tickbox as usually would be available. And the customer does not want to quick create these, and sees this - rightly so - as unnecessary cluttering up of the Quick Create menu.

Anyone know how to fix this?

And could we ask that Quick Create be defaulted for newly developed record types as a general standard?

    Hi Kev,

You need to make the changes in unmanaged solution in the dev environment and then move the managed solution to this environment.

Directly changing in managed solution will not work.

Also, you can remove the create privilege from users on these two entity - these looks like master data. That will also remove it from top.

    Thanks,

    Prateek

Thanks Prateek, was hoping there was a less cumbersome way.

It's not our internal users I have a problem with creating new entities and defaulting them to 'Allow Quick Create', it's the Dynamics 365 product team. So many entities are created with Quick Create enabled that have no valid reason for this. It only adds clutter and confusion for internal users, and - as you have identified - an internal cost to fix up through deployments.
