Relation between TaxTransGeneralJournalAccountEntry and TaxTrans

Good morning, what is the difference between those two tables? What are possible reasons for some differences between them?

Hi,

TaxTrans table contains all the posted sales tax transactions. It contains links to the subledger tables like CustInvoiceJour (customer invoices), VendInvoiceJour (vendor invoices) and so on.

TaxTransGeneralJournalAccountEntry table links the TaxTrans table records to the GeneralJournalAccoutEntry table where we can find the corresponding vouchers posted. This table has links to both TaxTrans and GeneralJournalAccoutEntry table.

What do you mean when you say that there are differences between those tables?

Have you tried reconciling your GL balances for your tax accounts with the taxtrans data?

How did you identify that there is a difference? What report/form/inquiry did you run?

Hi Nuttka,

The TaxTransGeneralJournalAccountEntry link table was introduced because in MicrosoftDynamics AX 2012 there is a many to many relationship between TaxTrans andGeneralJournalAccountEntry.

This link table tracks multiple relationships between TaxTransand and GeneralJournalAccountEntry.

TaxTransGeneralJournalAccountEntry.TaxTransRelationship is used to identify therelationship. The relationships correspond to each of the accounts previously stored inTaxTrans.

what are the keys that connects TaxTrans to TaxTransGeneralJournalAccountEntry and TaxTransGeneralJournalAccountEntry to GeneralJournalAccoutEntry?
