Not able to view financial report

Hi,

Many of the users are not able to VIEW the report. However, they are able to generate it.

Let me know how to resolve this issue.

Hi,

Seems like permissions are missing. Most likely they have the permission to generate the report but not to view it. I guess you would need accountant permissions to view it as the data is coming from general ledger.

I would suggest to give a user same permissions as an accountant has and then try it.

If that doesnt work then I would use the security task recording to analize it.

Hi,

Could you please the review the Security & permissions.

Permissions Issue

Ensure you have the necessary security roles assigned.

If you receive a "User does not have appropriate permissions" error, check the security settings in System Administration > Security Configuration.

thank you for your responses.

I assigned the user who is not able to VIEW the report a System Administration security role. Even, then the user is not able to view the report but can only generate the reports.

What could be this issue?

Any kind of pointers would be helpful

Hi JeffGreenRc,

A few questions:

1. Are you trying to run Financial reports under General ledger -> Enquiries and reports -> Financial reporter.

2. If point number 1 is a No, are these PowerBi reports that you are trying to run?

3. How are you navigating to the reports you are trying to run?

Suggestion:

1. For question number 1 if the answer is a yes, then check the browser you are running the report in. Ensure you are running the Financial reporter reports through Microsoft Edge browser. There will be a run-time add-in that gets downloaded. Run the add-in and check the reports under the Management reporter workspace, as highlighted by Abhilash.
