ReportReport
Posted on by 91
Hi All,

User is unable to preview custom basic report as report is displaying in some other language, but it should be in English and user preferred language in user options is EN-US.
Earlier it was working fine, but all of sudden one of the user report languages for custom report has changed now.

We did reset usage data as well but still issue persist.

Thanks!

    Report language is different from preferred user language
    Hi All,

    Thanks for the reply!

    We're not using language id in controller and tried with different browsers as well but no luck.

    And also observed that this is happening for few standard report for specific user, eg : when there is no data for vendor account statement report, it is showing as There is no data available. in gibberish but company name and Info remains same in English.

    Thank you again

    Hi user,

    Try to open the report in another browser, sometimes it will resolve the issues related to the report.
    Else suggestions provided by Navneeth are also you can check.

    Thank you,
    Raj Borad

    Report language is different from preferred user language
    Hi,

    A few questions;
    1. Looking at the scenario wanted to check if there has been no code like the below mentioned snippet introduced in the controller class of the report?
        this.parmReportContract().parmRdlContract().parmLangaugeId("LanguageId");

    Some example reports like SalesQuotationController or PurchConfirmationRequestController are present where such snippets are present for referral purposes.

    2.  Has there been a different language of this report published accidentally in the SQL Server Reporting Services?

    If this report is a report like customer accont statement, in this csse, you need to check the customer form as a language selection.

    Hi,
    In general, the language on the report will automatically change based on the language selected for the user. Go to the user options and change the language. Refresh the browser and run the report in the selected language. If your report is customized, then you need to check if you have added code to specific reports to change the language.  Solved: Report print in different languages (dynamics.com)
    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi,

    You mentioned the language of a custom report. Can you tell us more about this report? Was this created using labels from a label file? Is this the only user using this language? If there are more with this specific language, are these users able to see the report in their language? Is the language still available for this label file or are the labels in the label file overwritten with other texts? Do you know if there was a recent change in this environment, e.g. new customizations deployed?

    Hi,

    I think the user has changed the language in user options.
    try to set the language to "en-us"

    Best regards,
