Hi,

We can't still upgrade the database.  The error message says ' You cannot delete or change the type of the components on Sales Order field (in the customer table) before the value in the field reduced to 0 (zero) or " (blank) in all records. This message occured because a nonzero value was not found for the record no. ='C0001' in company (companyname)

We are hoping for your response.

Thank you

It seems like you have a field called Sales Order in customer table.

and the new FOB set didn't have that field or type is different in customer table.

you can only delete when there is no data in that field.

so you have to clear all records in that field (if data is not required) before importing FOB

RE: Can't continue importation of Objects (NAV2013 upgrade)

    Hey Riza,

Let's me understand where you are stuck.

I hope this is what that is completed -

    a) Technical Upgrade (Object Merging) from NAV 5 to NAV 2009.

    b) Opened the Database in NAV 2009 and everything working Fine.

The Next Steps should be -

    a) Technical Merging of Objects from NAV 2009 to NAV 2013 / NAV 2013 R2.

    b) Data Migration from NAV 2009 to NAV 2013 / NAV 2013 R2.

As per your comments as listed below -

We are at step#12. Importation of customized MS Dynamics NAV 2013 object from demodatabase. We can't import the object due to some errors. Is there an issue on the localization? We are using NAV 2009 PH and NAV 2013 AU. There is no available NAV 2013 PH.

    Questions ?

    1. You are saying importing Customized Objects From Demo Database? What is that.

-- You are supposed to import Merged Objects not the Demo Database objects. (The Merged objects are Result of Technical Merging)

    2. Any issue due to Localization? Why is that.

-- While merging you don't merging Localization or Hotfix Related Changes. You only Merge the Customization Part.

As per your comments the problem that i see is the incorrect merging of the objects in NAV 2013 from NAV 2009.

Let me know if i missed anything or you have any queries.

Hi, I think we are confusing more problems. Try to precede step by step.

You told me that you cannot create a new field in the Customer table. Could you confirm that if you try to compile the object (table 18) you receive the error about the codeunit 8726 missing? If yes, it means that there is a reference to that codeunit in the table, remove it. In the 2013 is not present a codeunit with this number.

Let me know if you fixed the problem and you are able to compile the Customer table and will procede qith the second step.

  • RE: Can't continue importation of Objects (NAV2013 upgrade)

    Hi Saurav,

Can you tell what field the error is saying? As per checking, this customer has 0 balance already. All transactions posted were closed. So, even if we try to delete the said customer, we cannot since there's already transactions posted.

We are using the replace all method in importation or upgrading the database.

On the other hand, after importation of tables from Cronus then click ok (to allow the merging from existing <-New) , a system message prompt - "You have specified an unknown variable. To-Assembly Bin Code. Define the variable under 'Global C/AL symbols'."

    Thanks,

    Riza

    Hi Sergio,

    Good Day

We cannot create a new field in the customer table. CodeUnit 8726 does not exist. Once we tried to import it from NAV 9.0, again, an error message prompt -'Method called on unsupported application object type-"Form".

We also check your How to Change Data for all companies, but we don't get where we will put the query code.

    Thanks

    Riza

    Hi,

the message means that in the new object that you are trying to import the definition of the field Sales Order in the table Customer 18 is changed.

My suggestion is create a new custom field in the table Customer 18 like "Sales Order Copy" with numeration > 50000, then create a report for service to move the values from the Sales Order field to the new field for all the companies.

Then after you will be sure to have a copy of all the original values run a new report for service to delete for all the companies the values in the field Sales Order.

In this manner you will can import the objects and after importation you can understand if in the new version they changed the type of the original field or removed.

To know HOW TO CHANGE DATA FOR ALL COMPANIES read my following post

    www.myerrorsandmysolutions.com/how-to-change-data-for-all-companies

I would solve the problem so

    Hi Saurav,

We are following the steps using Upgrade QuickGuide NAV2009_NAV2013. We are now in step#12. Importation of customized MS Dynamics NAV 2013 object from demodatabase. We can't import the object due to some errors. Is there an issue on the localization? We are using NAV 2009 PH and NAV 2013 AU. There is no available NAV 2013 PH.

RE: Can't continue importation of Objects (NAV2013 upgrade)

    Hey,

Did you merged the objects before importing them into NAV 2013?

The Error Message Meant that There is a field in Customer Table  -- "components on Sales Order" which does not exist in the New Object that you are trying to Import.

The Reason for Error is - "The Field Specified in the Error have data in a company, its not blank for all records".

If you don't want that field anymore then make sure that you have no data in that field in any company.

If that is not the case, make sure that you have completed the Object Merging correctly.
