Hi,

Are there SDK messages in MS CRM 2016 to generate the documents from program/code using the new CRM 2016 document teamplates?

We have a requirement where the documents have to be generated via plugins and uploaded to share point. We would like to use the CRM 2016 templates but are not able to find messages to generate a document through code.

Here is a list of supported SDK methods at this stage:

I doubt running a template via SDK is available yet.

Hi Rohit,

You can generate the document from a workflow - twitter.com/.../689898813750919169

This adds its as a note with the document attached.

I tried to searching for a way to grab this action and write a plug in to save it elsewhere but could not find it. Maybe somebody smarter than me can figure it out. I guess you could add plug on the attachment create event and from there save it to SharePoint

Hopefully document templates will be extended soon to allow us to use the SDK to generate documents and create PDFs and email them.

Hi All,

Any update for using Document template in plugin. My requirement is to generate different certificates as pdf based on certificate entity type. So I thought of using document template to create different certificate type and then read the template in plugin and replace the fields and then generate pdf from word.

Any update will be really helpful.

SetWordTemplate is the message which generates a word document based on the provided template and attaches the generated document to the Note regarding the Target entity.
