Hi,
We are not able to open any journal in Sandbox using Excel Add-in. We are using D365 version 10.0.23.

(We are planning to upgrade to 10.0.25 but we are seeing this issue as a show stopper)

However, in PROD, the add-in are opened.

Thankyou !

Kamel.

    Hi Kamel,

Based on the information you provided, it is not clear on which environment you are running which version. Is the Sandbox running now on 10.0.23 or 10.0.25? If it is on 10.0.23, then first update the Sandbox to see if that solves the issue. If it is 10.0.25, check if there is a quality update or consider updating to 10.0.26.

Do you have customizations in this environment? A customization on any data entity might impact the behavior of all entities.

    MS Docs Says:

Issue: When trying to use a document template with Open in Excel a "Record for id GUID not found" error displays

Issue: The "Record for id GUID not found" error can display when copying a database from one environment to another.

Explanation: Copying the database is problematic for document templates, record attachments, and other files that are stored in Azure blob storage. When the database is copied from one environment to another, the files are not copied along with the records, so the files that the application tries to access are not found.

Solution: For document templates, the solution is to identify the templates that are needed and load a copy of those template files into the target environment.

So try to reload  System document templates

Organization administration→ Setup→ Office integration→ Document templates. Click "Reload system templates"

    and try again.

    Regards,

    AP

It must be because of data restore. So follow these steps

    1. Down the excel template from environment where it is working or design new template

    exploredynamics365.home.blog/.../

    2. Navigate to env where this error is, Common Module > Common > Office integration > Document template > Import the template which you prepared

Note: You can also try restoring system default templates but that might remove all your custom templates if any

    Hi Kamel Sadek

    Please try to

1- Delete usage data (Reset usage data)

2- "Reload system templates" from Organization administration > Setup > Document template  and then check if there is template for "VendInvoiceJournalTemplate" and then try again to import journal lines
