Hello everyone,
I'm facing an issue with hiding the "New" button used for creating new dashboards in Dynamics CRM. We aim to remove this button from the application ribbon rather than restrict access via security roles.
Ribbon Workbench: We used the Ribbon Workbench to hide the "New" button in the dashboard section of the application ribbon.
Button Identification: Located the "New" button, usually identified as Mscrm.NewRecord
under the Dashboards entity in the Ribbon Workbench.
Action Taken: Right-clicked on the "New" button and selected Hide to remove it from the ribbon.
Publish Changes: Publish the changes from the Ribbon Workbench to apply them to our CRM instance.
Despite following these steps, the "New" button is still visible in the dashboard area, and the changes do not seem to reflect in the CRM interface. I've double-checked the ribbon customizations, and everything appears to be configured correctly.
I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered a similar issue or has insights into why the changes might not be applying. Are there additional steps or common pitfalls we might be overlooking when customizing the application ribbon?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your help.
Anwar
It looks like you've tried the right steps
Clear Your Browser Cache: Sometimes, old settings are stored in your browser. Try clearing your cache or using a different browser to see if the button disappears.
Check for Conflicting JavaScript: If you have custom scripts running in CRM, they might be interfering with your ribbon changes. Make sure there's no conflict.
