I am working for a client who has all the solutions deployed as unmanaged in UAT and production.
I made certain customisation in DEV on the components that already exist as unmanaged in higer environment and migrated the solution from DEV to UAT as managed. However, due to the unmanaged layer taking prefreences my changes are getting overridden. I tried removing the unmanaged layer and the changes reflect immediately. But, I don’t want to do this activity in Production as it is very big solution.
I thought to delete the the managed solution but since it has lots of dependency it doesn’t seem to be a good idea as there will be substantial data loss as well.
So, what can be the best way to restore the Test environment in its previous state so that I can move the customisations unmanaged again from Dev to UAT.
