Hi!

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a tile that makes it possible to directly from workspace create new orders? I have seen it in existing workspaces but can not figure out how to do it or find any information about it.

Thankful for any insight!
I have the same question (0)

Can you give me an example about what you want to achieve in order to help you?

    Hi Lisa,

Using tiles, you can have a count and open a menu item with a filtered list based on the query used for the count. There is also an option to only have a menu item set on the tiles. If the menu item is e.g. PurchTableCreate, CustTableCreate, it will open the creation form when you click on a tile. This is possible with development. There is no option to configure this type of tiles as part of a personalization.

    Hi Andre,

Thank you so much for your answer! This brings a lot more clarity to why I have not been able to find it, but now I know that it is possible with development.

    Hi,
Are you referring to how to create a workspace tile? If so, you can refer to this official documentation: Modify a workspace with a tile, list, and data cache - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn, which mentions an example to help you better understand how to add a tile:
In this section, you will add the required metadata to add a new tile to the Summary section of the FmtClerkWorkspace form to show this information. To make this tile work correctly, you will have to add four metadata artifacts: a query, a menu item, a tile, and a tile button.
    Best regards,
    Kevin
