Hi Experts,

We are restoring the SQL Database from one Environment to another Environment where the Domain Names are different. But Database restored successfully and when logging into client page it is giving an error on User authentication.

"You are not authorised to login with your current credentials"

Here I have attached error screenshot. Give me any suggestion to resolve this.0afb5517_2D00_331d_2D00_4f1d_2D00_b646_2D00_c2b20c941566.PNG

Thanks

    Hi Tanmay,

As the authentication is done on a Security ID (SID), you have to ensure that the credential details in the new environment are matching the new domain. The SID is different per domain even if the user ID is the same. Ensure that the security details in the UserInfo table are correct.

    Hi Andre,

I have restored the database after that removed the users of the restored database then again When I'm providing the authentication  for particular users of this database it is not updating the SID,Network Domain and Network Alias in the user info table.

    Thanks,

    Tanmay

    Hi Tanmay,

Can you tell what exact mechanism you used to import the users again?

    Hi Andre,

In my case the Admin user is not connecting and not updated in user info table in SQL database.

    Thanks

    Hi Tanmay,

After restoration of AXDB you need to run following script.

.\Reset-DatabaseUsers.ps1 -DatabaseServer '<FQDN of the SQL server>' -DatabaseName 'AXDB'

    .\Initialize-Database.ps1 -ConfigurationFilePath .\ConfigTemplate.xml -ComponentName AOS

    .\Configure-Database.ps1 -ConfigurationFilePath .\ConfigTemplate.xml -ComponentName AOS

make sure after running  Initialise script Mapping is correct in TempDB

svc-AXSF$ and axdbadmin user have mapping with (db_datareader, db_datawriter, db_ddladmin).

    Thanks
