Getting a copy of Dynamics GP 2010 for integration testing

Posted on by 115

I own a small software development company and I'm looking for a cost effective way to get a copy of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 that I can use for integration testing.   I'm building an integration layer from my application to GP 2010 for a customer, but have completely hit a brick wall on how to obtain a developer version of the application for my testing purposes.

PLEASE HELP.  I've called the following Microsoft numbers and have gotten absolutely nowhere.

8777-276-2464  (sales, who referred me to)

888-477-7989    (Dynamics GP pre-sales....   Who referred me to)

800-765-7768    (Partner line... Who referred me to)

888-477-7872    (Dynamics Tech support. Who referred my too ...)

800-759-5474     a Dynamics number where I waited on hold for 45 minutes with no answer and finally hung up)

Called back MSDN, who told me to register as a partner and all my questions would be answered on the web site.

STILL have no idea how to get a copy of Dynamics, if a developer version is available, what the cost would be, or how to even begin to order a copy.

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Partner Source access cannot be granted for normal partners, you should be a business solutions partner and sign up a Service Providing Agreement with Microsoft which has few requirements like having GP certified resources on board, I guess your best bit is to find an existing partner to help in this.

Thanks I do appreciate the help. I'll see if I can get access to Partner or Customer source, when I sign in as a partner then try to access the PS or CS site it tells me I currently do not have access to this site.   I'll take this up with the VOICE team to see if that can give me some direction.

Please understand that we are trying to help you here. If you are a Microsoft Partner then when you try to access PartnerSource or CustomerSource you will be prompted to sign up. Have you went through the signup process?

For access issues to CS and PS you want to email itmbssup@microsoft.com as this is the VOICE team that assists with these types of questions.

NO,  I have become  a Microsoft Partner (through the on-line sign up) but this does not allow me in the CustomerSource.

You don't have access to CustomerSource?

I can't install GP because to my knowlege there is nowhere you can download it without being a MSDN subscriber.

Mohammad is correct. Is there a reason you cannot just install GP and use the TWO (sample database)?

I guess Microsoft cannot help in this regard, only partners are allowed to get these copies and can manage your testing, I would suggest you find a partner to help you in this assignment who can install you a trial package without registration keys which will remain valid for 90 days.

I would advise you not to go through GP integrations without referring to a GP expert, it is not a matter of tables integrations due to the complicity of business coverage in the application and database design.
