I have a licence of "Field service" and i want to use "Field Service Mobile" application, Do I need to buy the "Woodford" Licence as well or it is coming with Field Service licence?

I am working on configuration and setup of "Field Service Mobile" Application and we already have licence for "Field Service".

The setup and customization requires the "Woodford" Solution to import into CRM.

So my question is that - "Do I need to buy a "Woodford" licence to use field service mobile application or it is included under field service licence?"

If "Yes", Then why we choose "Field service mobile" application and what is the difference between "Resco mobile app" and "Field service mobile"?

If "No" then how and where do I get full version of "Woodford"?

    No need to buy any additional license.

    Woodford installation: docs.microsoft.com/.../install-field-service

    Then follow steps #4 and #2.

    Last step - activate your Woodford license (one-time effort, this step will be removed in the future): docs.microsoft.com/.../activate-fs-mobile-app-license

    Hello Alexander,

    Thanks for the reply but this method will only extend the licence for 1 user and field service application can be used by multiple fields service users/contacts having different or same characteristics.

    Example- we have extended the licence for one user but here we have multiple resources of contact/user type. How do they use this application and how do they login in to the application?

    Hi Anshuman,

    Access to woodford solution shall be required to developer / administrator / super user. This is required to configure screens / making changes specific to mobile app.

    Access to D365 field service mobile app is governed by Dynamics 365 Field Service License. 

    Resources (Type: User - With Field Service Full License) will be able to log-in and access information from D365 Field Service App.

    Resources (Other than Type = User) will not be able to log-in to D365 Field Service Mobile App.

    Even though it states 1 Woodford license, this is system-wide for all developers. As pointed out in the previous thread, end users require a license and the user must be registered as a bookable resource.

    If a bookable resource is expected to access information from Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App, then D365 User License is required.

    For other type of bookable resource e.g. contact, account, crew, pool, etc. license is not required. And these resources will not be able to log-in to D365 Field Service System and D365 Field Service Mobile App.
