Can anyone tell me if there is a one to one relationship between the IV10200 and IV30300 tables? I am trying to track down differences in costs so the link only need to be on the purchasing side.

    Hi Richard,

What are you trying to find out? As you know the IV10200 is the Inventory Receipts Work and the IV30300 is the Inventory Transaction Amounts History table. I took a quick look at the tables and there are many matching fields, but without knowing what you need, I'm pretty worthless in my response. (Did I say that out loud??)

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Good morning Leslie, for what I am looking is to isolate any receiving inconsistencies between these two tables. So for each po receipt done for an item there should be a record created in the IV10200 table and the IV30300 table. I am looking for three things:

    1) That there are matching records

    2) The quantities are the same in both tables

    3) The costs are the same in both tables

The reason for the search is that I am dogged by every now and then finding small differences between the GL IV account and the total at the bottom of the purchase receipt report while at the same time there is no difference between the GL IV account balance and the SEE30303 table. I need to find what is causing the difference so I can trace it back to the transaction(s) that caused the difference so I can determine if something is not set properly or it is user error or computer error.

Those 2 tables are not 1 to 1.

IV10200 is missing the LNSEQNBR (Line Number) field.   That means that you could potentially have issues if you commonly have the same item on the same receipt.

Also, the IV30300 table holds any adjustments that are done through Tools | Utilities | Inventory | Adjust Costs.  That can create for cost differences between the tables.  It also creates for a many to 1 relationship between the tables.

I believe you could try to do a summary of the IV30300 table by document, item.    Like I mentioned earlier, you will run into some problems if the same item was used twice on the same receipt.
