Sending Free Text Invoice through Email AX 2012 R2

Dear all,

I am trying to send free text invoice as an PDF attachment in the email using print management. Also configured all email parameters in the print management setup.

I was not able to send the email. Getting the following error. When i'm debug the code, I found not getting the action id in the following class method (classes --> AifSendService --> getDefaultSendAction)  it seems like, Need to create some outbound services)

Can any one please provide me the detailed process steps.

    Hi Anand S,

    Send button send XML document via AIF framework to shared folder or MSMQ. To send it via email you need to click view -> Use Print management, because sending via email is just another way of printing.

    Thanks for the reply. I have configured outbound port for the same, but it is not sending xml document to shared folder. Also the view button, only printing report in the screen, it is not using print management destination. I have seen one more option in the FTI listpage Action pane - Print(button), which is using print management destination and I can send email via that button.

    Can you brief me the use of "send" button,  Is it for integration purpose? Because my client wants to send email by selecting "Original" option from "send" button.  So that I can explain it with proper reason behind "send" button.

    Yes, send button triggers AIF outbound port to send xml via file adapter or MSMQ it's purely for integration. If you want to send email you need to set up print management as you did and use print management during posting so report will be sent as attachment. Also you can print it with print management from a journal.
