Hi All,

iam the newbie and iam looking some information to solved the company problems for AX retail, such as :

1.  i would like to know how to configure Offline mode for AX retail.

(database utility has been installed on the POS machine)

2. How to non active product on the POS..?

can anyone help me to fix the problems..?

    Hi Deni,

    I am unsure of point 1. but can help with point 2 if you could clarify a bit more ie do you want to be able to have a released product in ax that you cant see at POS ? please explain

    regarding of my case, i'll try to explain more detail :

    1. i would like to configure the POS machine so it can work standalone. ( just in case connection server problem, POS still can doing the transaction ). and if the connection working back it will sync automatically into Database server...recently if there's no connection( LAN / WAN ) between server and the POS machines..  AX POS retail can't be used and All POS Machines can't doing the transaction... ( AX Retail POS Freeze )

    2. i did, but the the cashier can still selling the item on the POS retail..

    actually, i want to make stop selling some item has been expired on the POS AX retail ( Sold Out item ).

    pls..help

    1. do you have other great references answer of my question...??, coz iam still confuse..

    more easy instructions to understand, especially for me ( beginner in AX. software ).

    Hi Deni,

    I believe AX POS will work offline but with only limited functionalities like sales transaction and invoicing, but doing this things are more often requires data from on-hand inventory updates, inventory lookup, customer limit ect., which is very important in every transactions in POS to prevent any conflicts on the business. I have no idea if there are Offline configurations. If you're having trouble in POS due to the network connection, might as well to review the speed of your network connection.

    my point is the AX POS Retail still can doing the sales transaction only even there's no connection ( work standalone ), it's possible or no..??..

    because..i've got the information that AX POS Retail can working offline mode..standalone without connection LAN..pls correct me if i wrong..

    Yes, it will work standalone but with limited functionalities with outdated information.
