Hi,

Is there any way to create another user (Test user) in D365FO one box development machine instead of Admin?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

    Hi,

You can create a Test user on your Office Admin portal which will be registered on your AD.

In D365FO, go System administration-> Users -> Users

    And import the Test user.

    Hi,

    thanks for your feedback.

I am talking about D365FO OneBox Development environment which is only available locally on my machine.

This machine is not available on LCS and there is a tool for admin provisioning which enables a single user as admin and then I can log in as admin but my problem is I need to create antother user (Test User) in this machine.

One more thing I would like to do it without access to active directory.

    Hi D356FO Dev,

Komi provided the correct answer. You would need an user in Azure AD for the authentication. You can't access the Dynamics 365 F&O client without Active Directory.

    Hi,

    Thanks all for your feedback.

The user is already created in Azure AD but I am unable to import user in local D365FO Dev machine and it has no LCS.

While importing the user I got authorization error message.

    Error:

The remote Server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

    Looking forward to your help!

You need to add him manually no need to use the import tool, click +New and add his UserId "Test" and email manually "Test@yourdomain.com"

    Hi,

actually the problem is my machine is a 365FOdev box and it has no access to AAD. Therefore, it is impossible to work with other user(test).

Nevertheless thank you everyone and keep supporting for a good cause.

    BR

    Hi D356FO Dev,

Instead of importing the user, did you try to add the user manually by providing a user ID, email for login and potentially adjust the Provider field (in case the tenant of the user is different from the tenant used for this VM? The lookup from Azure AD is indeed not working in this local box.
