Connection with Multi tenant D365F&O implementation to single SharePoint repository

Hi,

One of our customers is trying to compare the possibilities to implement D365F&O in 3 different tenant and single tenant. Their concern is about sharepoint and Dual write access.

Could you please suggest what the options are for Dual write and SharePoint integration in these 2 scenarios?

I believe in a single tenant deployment, Dual write and share point can be connected through standard configuration without any issue.

But how will it be in multi tenant F&O implementation scenario? Can I connect to a single sharepoint repository from D365F&O (from all 3 different tenants) ?

Any idea on this will be very helpful.

    Hi Talent,

Thanks for the clarification. On the document types, you can set up a SharePoint location. The requirement is that the users is a native user on the tenant. You can read about this in the documentation: Configure document management - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

    Hi Andre,

The customer wants to use it for document management process in F&O. Instead of storing all the attachment in Blob storage, they want to store it in Sharepoint. They might not link it to LCS.

    Thanks.

    Hi Talent,

I intended to ask about the purpose of the SharePoint repository. Is it a SharePoint library linked to LCS or something different?

    Hi Andre,

I am referring to 3 different tenants (e.g. A,B,C)and each of them are having separate production instances.

The requirement is to upload all attachments to sharepoint repository. Is it possible to use same share point site from all three production? (e.g that is in tenant A)

    Regards

    Hi Talent,

Is the question about multiple production projects or really different tenants? What exact SharePoint repository connection are you referring to?

For dual write, you can link one F&O instance with one Dataverse environment. There is no option to link the same environment or instance multiple times.
