Labour spending for production

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hello All,

We currently have BOMS in our system and we would like to know how much labour we are spending for production and subsequently how much we can recover through sales? Will Routes be the process we need implement? If so, Is there any link that you can refer to me which can help me setup Routes in our AX 2009.

Thanks in Advance

Parz

    Hi Parz,

There is no direct way to extract report on consumption cost of overheads and sales margin kind of thing, We can archive by using with help of few reports consolidation like example You can get the cost of labour WIP reports in production control and then get the cost of item and then sales price and than calculate through a formula.

    Thanks

Yes, Routes can get you planned or actual labor costs, as well as overhead costs.  If you create a Route / Route version and Activate / Approve it like you do your BOM, when you do a Calculation from the BOM, Route, Costing Version or Sales Order line, costs from the route will be included.  This is a pretty good starting point for 2009: http://www.dynamicsaxtraining.com/production_training/routes-and-operations

Note that in 2012 the Work Centers / Work Center Groups were replaced with Resources and Resource Groups, otherwise Routes are the same in 2009 vs. 2012.
