Add Text on Top Bar in D365FO

Hi All,

I have a requirement to add some text on the top of the title bar after search text box. Is there any way to achieve it? Please see the image below.

Hi Tabsheer Khan,

What is the purpose of writing text there? Is there any specific text you are looking for? And how you are expecting that to help in business process?

Normally if you click on Ctrl + F then you will get the "Find" option over there.

Thanks. Actually I have a requirement in which I have two different companies, client wants to bifurcate both legal entities. So we have changed the cover picture, still they want more bifurcation in both legal entities. Please suggest what other things we can do to achieve this requirement?

The user can already see the active company in the top bar.

With development you could add for example different color theme for different companies. This can be achieved by creating an event handler for SysFormUtil.GetThemDensityForCurrentUser and changing the returned Theme, depending on the company.

In addition to that, you would need to develop a new table/form for maintaining user themes per user&company (and not just per user).

Hi Tabsheer Khan,

User can easily see the selected legal entity itself as displayed here which is enough to understand which entity is currently being opened.

Suggestion is; have a discussion with the users again and ask them to check in the legal entity area as highlighted above.

Do you feel it will add any value to this client ? Just because they are asking; let us not go with the same.

Yes have tried it as explained in this blog emiralfg.com/.../. But it is not working as expected. Anyways thanks.

The blog suggests a slightly different approacha than what I did. Please try my suggestion and create event handler for SysFormUtil.GetThemDensityForCurrentUser.
