Hello all

I just joined in hopes of gaining knowledge that will help me at work.

We just went live 1/5/15. no previous experience with nav.

I'd like to know how (and where) the attachements (images, txt files etc) get stored (we are on sql2008r2) and how I may report on them and display them (I'm also learning jet reports)

I keep hearing terms like Blob file but not clear on how its implemented

Thank you for any info

    Hello,

There is a table called "Company Information" and which stores company logo, from company information card page you can import/export, i am just trying to provide you an example how image is stored in BLOB field on the table.

Where do they attach images ? i am sorry but i don't know to use Jet Reports to get images.

    Hello

    Thx for reply

Are you saying that there is a table called "company information" which has a field which stores all image/binary attachments.  Specifically, our payables clerk attaches scanned TIF images of the vendor's invoices.  Where can I get those images from?  How? Can I use Jet reports to report on details of those images?

    Thx

If you want attach the files you can use Links functionality, this way it will just store the address and file information in the record link table but actual file will store whereever you attach from.

The other option is BLOB field which you can see an example on company information for picture it stores the file in the Picture field as binary.
