Unable to connect Management Report in dynamics 365 on premises

I have installed Dynamics 365 on premises update 29 and I am also try to reinstall the application from scratch almost 7 to 8 times but the result is same. when I login in MR the error has occurred. I am using axserviceuser (all installation & configuration for this user). Connection attempt failed. User does not have appropriate permissions to connect to the server. Contact your system administrator.

Hi Sir,

I think it means the user has no sufficient rights in Management reporter.

You can try this:

Run MR as a user that is setup as an MR administrator (the user by which MR installed).

In MR click Go and then click Security.

Add the user who is receiving the connection error.

I have blank Data base and all configuration with axserviceuser. I saw the table (Reporting. SecurityUser) in Financial Reporting database it is null, no information the axserviceuser .

Hi,

Please have a look at the related previous threads on this forum, such as the following one:

If you cannot find a solution there, I would recommend opening a support case with MS.

All 8 application had successfully deployed and also deployed status in LCS penal.

Have you tried logging in with a user that has system admin rights?

I was assigned extra rights of this user. like CFO, accountant and so on .

Make sure all your given service accounts on Wizard should have proper access on SQL.

You can also check,

Stop services Management Reporter 2012 Process Service.

Open up the services and enter in your new account and pw that should be running these services, hopefully when you setup this account you also included that pw does not expire.

Then re-start the services and MR2012 should now be working.

This is Dynamics 365 on-premises and i am unable to restart the service of MR. Moreover, All Database have more rights as per the Microsoft recommendation.

was this working before..? remember there was a bug in deployment around PU26 where it was required to put scripts under agent folder for pre-processing.

Are you aware of those scripts..?
