Workflow or manual approval on a periodic journal

Hi all,
 
Is there any way to apply approval (manual or workflow) on a specific periodic journal?
 
If selected on the journal names form I presume it will apply to all the Periodic journals which is not desired.
 
And the standard workflows do not seem to be available from the Journal names form for type Periodic.

    Periodic journals are like a template that can be copied to journals. There is only an option in the standard application for approvals on general journals, not the periodic journals. What would be the expected result for you? Should it skip the approval when rerieving the contents of a periodic journal, block the periodic journal from being copied, or both? Anyway, changing the current behavior requires a customization.

    Hi Andre, yes, the expectation would have been for an approval if the amounts were changed, and also if any of the amounts were to go beyond thresholds. Unfortunately it looks like this would be a customisation. Thanks for your help.
