Is there any way to run inventory closing without run inventory recalculation?

In our company, you need to operate inventory closing without running inventory recalculation so as not to affect company profit and loss reports.

But unfortunately when we run inventory closing system automatic run inventory recalculation to all previous transaction and this effect in the profit and loss of this period.

So is there any way to run inventory closing without run inventory recalculation?

Hi,

You can set the parameters as not to post to ledger. But the recalc will run, just not post to GL.

Hi,

What is the actual costing method that you are using? If you have e.g. FIFO, LIFO, or weighted average, you should run the inventory closing/recalculation periodically to adjust all cost prices. This should be run before you make any conclusion about the profit and loss for a particular period. In other words, if you run the P&L report without running inventory recalculation first, the outcome of your P&L is incorrect.
