RSO using incorrect requirements and failing

Hello Everyone,

I come across the same issue several times and can't figure out why this is happening. Starting to run tests with RSO I recently notice that most of my runs are Failing. I reset the schedule and the problem still exits. So I looked into it more in detail. I went over the list of Bookings to see what the Operation reasons are for invalid action and created a view which exclude all of these issues (e.g. if duration is less than 0, do not involve it in the view which RSO uses).

So now I'm noticing that RSO is trying to optimize Resource Requirements which are not actually in my view and shouldn't be considered in optimization. Why could this happen?

    Hello,

Did the entire run fail with no created bookings at all? I have had the optimization show as fail because certain requirements failed to have bookings created due to certain reasons but there were bookings created for other requirements. Was there a message on your Scheduling Optimization Request Details page about that particular optimization request?

There were optimizations created, however there were requirements which were considered for the run which shouldn't have been in there. So it makes sense that it fails, since the requirements can't be optimized (e.g. no duration for the requirement) and shouldn't be because the view which RSO uses doesn't contain such requirements.

If you are talking about the bookings that have a "hard" booking status, it will always look at those and may even update the travel time on them but for obvious reason, won't reschedule them. Are you using a booking view in your scope? If you are try checking that to make sure you aren't pulling something in there that you don't want included.
