Hiring a new employee - sending an automated welcome email to that person

Hello,

When I hire a new employee on the system through personnel management and set their start date for when they start. Is there a way to create an automated email on power automate that sends them a welcome to the company email on that particular date?

I've done a bit of research but no one seems to have created this for dynamics Hr - I've attempted multiple way to do it like below but I can't seem to figure out how to make sure the email is sent on the specific start date of the employee. Hopefully someone can help me out!

    Hi HSDynamics,

You can create flow with Power Automate to send email.

Please refer to the old thread for the same topic:

the condition you need is some thing like 'employment start date greater or equal to today'. But you will need to update the dynamics connectors to the new versions and then you might also want to add a custom field to record the notification as sent in the worker record.

    Hi Ejaz,

Thank you for getting back to me!

Is the new connector the dataverse? (green symbol)?

If I was to create this in the new version would the condition look like this below? Using 'employment start date' equal to or greater than 'employment start date' both selected from the Dynamics content panel?

    Hi HSDynamics,

Try to create a power automate and search for dataverse then you will see the below connector.

Microsoft dataverse(legacy) is the old connector.

As per your screenshot, you are using the connector for Dynamics 365(CRM)

You have to use dataverse connector instead of Dynamics 365 connector. This will solve your problem.
