Electronic Reconcile Download Transactions window brings in old Dates

Hi!

We are on GP 2018 and in the process of implementing the Electronic Bank Reconciliation Module.

When going through the Transactions Download process, the system is bringing in the correct cleared information but the Dates are from 20 years ago.

I have tried using different Dates options within the Configurator but none of them seem to help.

Trying to determine where it is getting this Date from as it is not in our source file.  Otherwise, has anyone ever seen this?

I also have cleared the ME142806 and ME142807 tables without any success.

Thank you!

The dates come in funky like that if either the date format in the configurator file does not exactly match the date format in the bank file, or if you opened the bank file in Excel before bringing it in and Excel stripped out the leading zeroes on the date.  You should use NOTEPAD not excel to view files.    So if you mapped the date as MMDDYYYY, then the date in the file has to be 07202022 (for today).  You can open the file with Notepad and fix the dates with a 'replace all' and then import it in again.  Hopefully you are in still in a testing phase.

    Hi Cheryl,

The data file actually looks to be okay.  I ended up creating a VBA script to convert the Date to a "MMDDYYYY" format to match the MMDDYYYY option within the Configurator in GP.  This appears to have solved the issue.

    Thank you for your response!
