We run D365 Finance & Operations and use the embedded Financial Reporting (ex-Management Reporter) for our statements. With the number of accounts and entity we have (30 entity) we have, report generation has gotten slow enough that it's a real drag on close.
Before we start shopping, I'd like to hear from people who've been here:
1. Did you solve it by redesigning reports (row definitions, trees, ranges), or did you eventually move off Financial Reporter entirely?
2. For consolidation are you using Consolidate online, reporting trees in Financial Reporting, both, or a third-party tool?
3. Has anyone put Business Performance Planning (BPP) or Business Performance Analytics (BPA) into production? Did either actually replace anything, or did they just sit alongside?
4. If you went with a third-party EPM/CPM (Solver, Vena, Prophix, Planful, OneStream, insightsoftware, etc.) what tipped you over, and would you buy it again?
Interested in the honest version, including what didn't work. Thanks.
