Export organization hierarchies to Excel

Hi all,

I have multiple departments with each their own hierarchy , when I open my hierarchy designer i see the different organisation types my question is I want to export the hierarchies to excel is that possible?

    Hi Jan, please always choose a descriptive title; the version of AX is not enough. Also, you can add the version of AX as a tag.

    Hi Jan,

    From the user interface it is not possible to export an hierarchy to Excel.

    Within the AOT, you can search for the table OMHierarchyRelationship. This table contains the relation details. You can create a view based on this table and then use the result to export to Excel.

    Or you can create with some x++ logic an export directly.

    You can do the export with Data Import Export Framework and its Organization hierarchy entity.

    Hi Martin,

    Sorry once i posted my question i realized my title was incomplete sorry therefore,

    I will try both answers to check whats easier to do,

    I worked with the DIEF once, it was quite hard to use.
