Error in unit of amount in currency USD. Must be rounded to 0.01

Posted on by 4

In D365 F&O, when processing a customer payment, an error message appears stating: "Error in unit of amount in currency USD. Must be rounded to 0.01." I have checked the currencies and GL parameters, and everywhere I have defined the maximum penny rounding as 0.01.

The Invoice is in EUR and i am making payment in USD. After converting the amount to USD, the amount is 9521.288.

    Hi,

You can reset the "Maximum penny defference" and "Maximum penny-rounding in the reporting currency" in the General ledger parameters with a number more than 0.01 then try to post again.  E.g 0.05/1.00/100.00/1000.00.

    Hi,

Can you give use more details, sometimes if your importing the transactions there can be more than 2 decimals and that might cause the issue.

    Hi,

From where are the transactions coming? Data that has been imported or calculated can cause this issue.

Can you try to delete and manually put in the amount in EUR or USD and check if that resolves the issue? If so, then you have to dig further, cause it might be that there are more decimals than displayed.

    Kind regards, Adis

    Hi,

Can you tell us how you entered what exact amount? Are you trying to enter the USD amount using three decimals instead of two?
