Where have the images gone?

I got a call today from a client telling me they had lost their truck. I told them to call their insurance company. Actually, the truck to which they referred was the little truck that appears when you do a PO invoice match to a drop ship PO. She can perform this invoice match on any other computer in the shop except hers and see the little truck. She has a GP images folder on her local computer but I do not see a truck image in there. Are these images kept someplace else and, if so, where are they kept?

Client refuses to allow any customizations and that includes modifier. Next time I am down there I will try to talk them into at least allowing me to try.

    sad.

As explained by dexterity manual native pictures are specific, or native,to a particular operating system. When possible, use pictures instead of native pictures. Pictures are platform independent, so you don’t need to create separate pictures for each platform.

Why not try to replace picture through modifier to that visual switch and check if image is appear or not?

The trucks have been lost forever. Copying the DYNAMICS.DIC file did not work nor did reinstalling GP. We will give her a new computer and hope for the best.

If you are testing the same receipt, it is likely Almas is right regarding this could be a version issue.

Before copying the dynamics.dic file, can you check the dictionary version of this file by checking its properties?

If the versions are different, perhaps it will be a better idea to copy the whole GP folder from one of those 24 workstations instead of just a dictionary.

As I mentioned earlier, we have 26 workstations. We can pull up the same receipt on 24 other workstations and click auto receive and the truck will be there. It is just this one computer where it will not. So I will try to copy over another DYNAMICS.DIC file and if that does not work I will uninstall GP and reinstall. If neither works then it has something to do with this workstation. By the way, does the paper clip icon work the same way indicating a SOP to POP link? I am curious if any icons work on this workstation.

exactly this is what I am saying that icon was not in gp2010 and introduced in gp2013. Log Script will show difference in script calling.

It wouldn't necessary to get version issue on login if you are on different SPs of same version or upgrade from lower to newer version. I have witnessed this, issue could come on particular windows. On login each window, field ,datatype or etc don;t get verified.

    Almas,

As I mentioned, the Drop-Ship Visual Switch was introduced in GP 2013 therefore is not in GP 2010. This Visual Switch is hidden/shown in each row depending of the PO type.

It cannot be a Dynamics.dic version issue between clients since you would get an version error when you log into GP.

The issue could be a misunderstanding about when this 'truck' should show/hide, that's why I was suggesting to compare the same Receipt Number between clients.

That's very interesting situation. In GP2010 there was no truck icon. In gp 2013 there is an icon plus script is calling after GetPOID procedure, SetTrackedWarningCue of form POP_Select_Purchase_Order and I think this is handling hide/show functionality of this truck icon on the basis of PO type which will be returned by GetPOID procedure. It seems to me some version issue. You could do one thing to confirm if icon exist on this window or not, add this window to modifier , and check there if DropShipped icon is on the window or not.
