Hello! I need to calculate the Value Added Tax (VAT) for the ForecastSales row using ForecastSales.SalesPrice and some PayrollTaxCodeId. Can this be done using the standard functionality? Thanks in advance for your answers!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Shirlite,

Why would you include VAT in the sales forecast?

VAT is usually recorded in the balance sheet and does not impact your profit.

Why is it that you want to have it in your sales forecast?

Can you also elaborate on what forecast you refer to?

Is this related to sales orders, projects, etc. ?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig!

These are customer requirements. "The goal is to ensure that the lines (requirements for goods and materials) in the demand forecast are properly executed and monitored."

This is purely related to the demand forecast.

    Hi Shirlite,

But VAT does not impact your sales revenue and profitability.

For what country/region do you implement the VAT?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

As I understand it, this is only necessary for convenience. This is a new field that I will add to the ForecastSales table and to the ForecastSales form on the TabPageItemSpecification Tab Page. This field must be calculated for the country Kazakhstan

    Hi Shirlite,

    I see.

    Can you try the following:

Transfer your sales forecast to the budgeting module by making use of the standard periodic process for that.

Once the amount is there you can e.g. add the VAT by making use of a budget plan that adds a VAT % on top of your sales forecast.

That should work out of the box without system modification.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
