Hi Forum,

I have tried to understand about filter group but can't. So please any one can explain filter group in details. What filter group does actually? Why we use it and for what? Give suggestion with examples.

thanks for your valuable answer but little more confusion with this code....

Customer.RESET;

Customer.SETCURRENTKEY("No.");

Customer.SETRANGE("No.", '10000');

Customer.FILTERGROUP(255);

Customer.SETRANGE("No.", '50000');

Customer.FILTERGROUP(0);

Customer.FINDFIRST;

MESSAGE('Filters: %1\First Customer: %2', Customer.GETFILTERS, Customer.Name);

Actually why do we use "FILTERGROUP(0)" and with other integer value with FILTERGROUP

Hi, Tharanga

I studied all the links related to filtergroup but I am confused because, the task I have done with the help of filtergroup, the same task I did without filtergroup.Then my question is what is the use of filtergroup? Why we write code between two filtergroups, whereas without filtergroup we can do the same...please I am so confused and I always feel shame when it is asked in interview. So suggest me with best example so that I can understand it in easy way....

Hi

Refer the below link for the usage of filtergroup

if we apply the filtergroup the users will not be able to remove the filters applied using clearfilters.(ctrl+shift+A)
