Import event attendees to Dynamics Marketing event

Is there a way to import event attendees from an external source to a Dynamics Marketing event?

Let's say you want to post-populate attendees for a event you ran in an external tool into Dynamics Marketing events (to get data for KPI's etc)

The list would contain known and unknown persons in CRM.

    Hi Thomas,

    -> If your external source is an excel template file:

    Our import job will get failed due to unknow persons.

    Because cell value should match to existing record in Dynamics 365 if a column is related to lookup field.

    In this situation, we should firstly import all people to make all of them be known contacts in system, then import event registration records.

    We should still convert unknown people into know contacts before creating bulk event registration records.
