Could anyone help: In Bank reconciliation, what made up the "GL's out of balance" amount?
Thanks for your help.
Best,
Lien
Hello Lien,
Are you referring to the bank reconciliation module, or the bank reconciliation screen in cash manager. I don’t see where that is clear.
In the Reconciliation screen (BR.010.00):
GL Account Balance is pulled from curyacct. It’s the balance of the cash account.
Deposits in Transit – The total of the deposits that have not been cleared.
Outstanding Checks – The total of the checks that have not been cleared.
GL End Bal (Calc’d) – GL Account Balance – Deposits in Transit + Outstanding Checks
GL End Bal (Stmnt) – This is a user entered amount, entered from the bank statement.
GL Difference – GL End Bal (Calc’d) – GL End Bal (Stmnt)
In the cash manager bank reconciliation screen (20.010.00):
Statement Balance – user entered.
Deposits in Transit – deposits that have not been cleared
Outstanding checks – checks that have not been cleared
Adjusted Balance – statement balance – deposits in transit + outstanding checks.
The GL out of balance compares the adjusted balance to the GL balance (from curyacct).
The CA out of balance compares the adjusted balance to the CA balance. The CA balance is calculated from the daily cash balance (cashsumd) records. Those are updated by transactions that are posted to the cash account.
