One of our customers intends to implement Knowledge management based on D365 Customer Service.
I understand that the Professional edition covers Knowledge Management (including knowledge authoring).
The following question came up: Which of the following roles do require a license?:
1. Authors of Knowledge-articles
2. Approvers of Knowledge-articles
3. Readers of Knowledge-articles
The Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide (page #15) only says: "Knowledge base: create, update, publish, configure".
So Readers don't seem to require any license in this case. Can you confirm?
And what about Approvers?
Well from my understanding Authors and approvers need to have either a customer service enterprise or a premium license.
But for readers team member license will work. refer this extract :
