XMLPort to .csv assigning a Boolean a Value on export

Posted on by

Let me preface this by saying I am a beginner with XMLPorts and the supporting code. I see it I get it but I cannot always get it to do what I want, but trying to learn as I go.

We are using NAV 2017 On-Prem

I am trying to figure out how to export data using a filter but I do not want the field that I am filtering on to be exported.
Here is my example
I want to export Purchase Header data filter on Document Type. I do not want or need the Document Type field exported. This data will be passed to another program that cannot handle the Document Type field. The Document Types that I want to export are; Order, Credit Memo and Return Order.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Troy

    Hi Troy,

I would suggest you to proceed this way.

After you add you Table Element, there is a property with the name Table View or Table Filter

You can add your filter for Document Type there.

This means that you don't need to add this field to your CSV just filter the data as per Table View.

Let me know if you need further help.

You don't need to add that field, you can specify that filter on the Table Element by using the properties.

Check this link for more information about exporting using xmlport
