Roaming User Profile for client-side cache

Someone has used the roaming user profile to store client-side cache? I tried to configure it, but if you click on the icon, you have to choose an "auc" file, if you configure a folder, the "auc" files are not created when AX opens. Someone has some configuration example?

    Hi

Did you find out how roaming auc works?

If your client config has "roamingprofile,Text,1" the .auc will be in client appdata\roaming otherwhise in appdata\local. So main question for me: how to produce a master.auc?

The auc are in format ax_GUI_{GUID}_CRT#.auc, one is ax_GUI_{GUID}.auc. Should that be renamed to master.auc?

    Thanks for help.

    Hi Umesh

These links do not realy answer the core questions. Additionaly you mix up roaming profile (dn479031) and roaming cache. It's only about cache.

MS did a comprehensive research and could not find anything to there new functionality. So we raised a request and wait for the result of the product team.

    Regards

Are you trying to use the "Path to global client side cache file (AUC)" option on the client configuration?

    Yes exactly.

This is not the answer that you are looking for, but I'm still going to give you what I feel is the best answer to your question.

Do not try to create a master.auc file.  AUC files get corrupted readily and often and need deleted frequently.  These files are not reliable and are an ongoing source of problems, and this issue goes back to Axapta 2.5 when I started working with AX.  In my opinion, you are wasting your time trying to make something work that will only bring you problems and headache.
